So yes I have now joined Tumblr as well as blogger...as everyone was raving about it so i thought ok lets see what all this fuss is all about.

The design is quite interesting and different but that is how my mind is anyway...(a muddle/messy sort of mind) which is what my blog is like. It is less talking as this one is, which for some of you is probably good news!

Half day at Jackie's
What a beautiful day today was so I went without the SOCKS!!!! with my lovely Mary Quant shoes, and blue gap jeans. My jacket (continuing with the black and white theme) is a vintage number that also has a tie wrap thing but not so keen it so. My blouse is my D&G one of which seen before.
My dog Bella decided to get in the photo:

Full day at Jackie's
So today made NO SALES!!!!...booooo! (I'd like too hope that its not me) As Jackie's store is a dress agency may people collected their money which is good for them but would be nice to have more cash in the till!
As I was in a hurry (typical) I thought my wonderful Whistles dress was a perfect choice as it was quick and easy to put on. For the extra layer I wore my yellow/cream cardi, and not forgetting extra socks!!! To complete my 'easy' look my comfortable brown boots was perfect to add a little height too!

So.....lately I have been a little addicted to eBay.....started with selling some of my items now with 'trying' to actually win a bid!! Which I swear when it comes to the more valuable ones is impossible!
As soon as you get close too the ending time limit and you think your ahead.....too late you lost! I'm determined to figure out how to win something! My friend told me its called 'sniping'...those bloody snipers are sooooo frustrating, so if you can't beat them join them! (or however that phrase it said)

Up an early for another day of antique fairing!
So, today is the last of the shepton mallet antique fair, and after yesterday with the weather pouring down I thought it was time to bring out the Burberry mac..which is actually very warm as today was freeeeeezing! (well over exaggerating just a bit)
As I know I'll be packing up and this place is very very dusty the jeans were the right choice! Along with the bottoms I wore my purple blouse that I bought from the Glastonbury vintage shop that was £6! My mother's boots that I keep stealing, and over my blouse another one of my christmas presents that was a faux feather/fur waistcoat thing. I normally go for the real thing was fur but this waistcoat is rather interesting.
Also I completely forgot it was mother's day! And mother managed to get her flowers which I bought from a florist in a sweet little basket, with a card that I did from MoonPig.com (a little addicted to using this sight) I love using them as they are like a gift in themselves.
For her card I found an old photo of my mother in the 1960's back in her modelling days...
For this photo I used the image in the middle of the bottom row

The Saturday of the antique fair!
Was ment to get there early...but this is me was are talking about!!
So while tidying my room as it needed HELP!! I wore my beautiful Mulberry skirt that might be a little big round the waist (now it is a hip skirt) so that will be another little sewing job. My brown shirt is Dolce & Gabbana and then again with my cardi (seriously can't stop wearing this thing!!) and shoes. I think that I'm turning into a grannie day by day.
My aim for the day was to find some Beswick Beatrix Potter figures that I have inherited as a child and now collecting...I've been searching the Miss Pigwig for a while and she is very rare,
along with Benjamin Bunny,
...I got a great deal so that really helped my day!
One of my mother friends had on sale a vintage Burberry mac with removable lining for winter/summer and was in my size!!....so now it is mine....I'm sorry I just can't stop!!

and something else that catches my eye....annnnnndddd I was very successful in that I found the pig and the rabbit, with a mouse from the tailor of Gloucestershire,
and last but not least a pig that is very rare called Pigling Bland

I love this one as it goes on for three days, Friday till Sunday. (so you don't have to get there too early as there is always another day)
Instead of the Flea market using one building they open four, so there is plenty too see!
My mother has a stall there every time its on in her usual spot, which is good for regulars!

A life and a day as a shop keeper... :)
Today I helped out in Jackie's dress agency for the afternoon to take over from her in the morning. So from searching through my wardrobe I found my lovely Chanel skirt that was another Christmas present from mother and from Jackie's shop. It is very beautiful...but not hugely practical as lets just say if someone was running with/at you....you'd have nooo chance! For the top half I wore a Dolce & Gabbana white shirt..another grab from her shop...(sorry if it sounds like I'm name dropping)
My cardi I got from a vintage shop at Glastonbury for £8 (bargin I say!!) and last but not least some black leather shoes.
Now I'm not exactly brilliant at the car department but I'd like to think I know some things... So while parking a kind man mentioned that my front wheel was flat..so basically I have been driving the whole journey with a dying tyre....so yes it seems that i really do know nothing about cars!!
So while that problem was being fixed I had a lovely day there...finally selling something for her as last time I didn't and was concerned that it was moi!
Phase eight called me as well to ask me back for a second interview! So hopefully fingers crossed! But she did say that in the last interview she didn't ask me enough questions....oh dear I do hope they will be nice ones.

Job interview number 2 of the week!
So yes as the title says my 2nd interview of the week, and it is Whistles my favourite store of the moment! While doing one of their tasks they gave me they brought out a beautiful blouse that had bumble bees on...so adorable! I always find their clothes are such beautiful quality with really interesting details...and i swear they know exactly what i love in clothes!

I wore my lovely Sisley trouser suit with my gorgeous John Galliano silk blouse that was a Christmas present. (thanks mother!!!) Also my favourite and comfortable (most important- especially while driving!) heeled leather brown boots.
I'm not going to lie was pretty nervous as have not exactly been successful with retail interviews before. Hopefully fingers crossed I get it!!

http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/kateamsrogers
I have now officially become addicted to eBay...and I just cannot stop selling selling selling, so much fun. Especially when someone starts bidding on your item!!!
But the only thing is as i'm new at selling on eBay i do hope that i'm doing it right, as you also wonder whether your selling too cheaply or too expensive...But hopefully it should all go ok!!
Have a look at my items that I put up as they will be leftovers from my stock.
At the moment I've got:
Two Yumi dresses/tunic:
A Motel Cardigan:

The Edge of Love
The film called the ‘Edge of Love’ is one of the many films of clothes I want to wear all the time! I love the relaxed side of fashion in the 1940’s, with the long skirts and jumpers…hopefully my wardrobe will transform into this one day…

Other Universities that I have looked at..(to figure my life out)
http://www.herts.ac.uk/courses/FashionBA.cfm
I found this one only recently as I saw on fashion designer Julian Roberts website he started the fashion course in 2004. As I love his pattern cutting methods and I'm inspired completely by him, so thought I'd give it a look.

This one is not exactly a fashion design course but i do love costume and film...so probably got carried away!
this post will not be the most exciting but it is just a way of organising and planning my life!

A visit to Somerset College Taunton
To keep you up to date with my life so far, i have recently been considering changing universities as currently at Bath Spa, all though a good university, I have not been exactly happy there. So I thought of having a look at others doing the same course. Today was Taunton, which is about the same distance from Bath to us. Also they wanted to look at some of my current BA work, to see what stage i'm at and skills i have learnt. It is always nerve-racking going for interviews, mainly due to me not having a lot of confidence in myself, but they always seem to ask me a question that i find hard to answer, so i start stuttering, blushing and end up in a right mess. Lets just say I'm not at these sort of things.
The university looks lovely and the course leader seems nice, with lots of sewing machines and easy access to other facilities, which is a bonus!!
During the interview they were really good and gave really good advice and wanted to make sure i made the right decision in the university and also the course. They liked my work which was good! But it is also very difficult to explain to another university the reason why your leaving that university in the first place without them getting concerned. So i just hope the reasons for leaving one university does not effect my new one....fingers crossed for Kate's failed life!!!
These are the courses that I'm interested in at the university but if i was transferring (which i think will be the final outcome) Fashion Design would be the better option. It does not help that the ruddy fees are going up!!
For the visit I wore one of my favourite dresses which I bought from whistles in 2011 sometime. I think one of my favourite things about it is the large pockets and the fact it is loose and very comfortable.
My boats....well my mother's but now mine are another one of my favourites as i seem too wear them most of my days. Accessories wise I wore a old real snakeskin/metal bracelet that i found at a vintage fair, and if make-up counts as one, i wore a Kate Moss Rimmel bright red lipstick along with my many rings that i seem to have on me daily and can't seem to go out without them. And last but not least my beautiful 1950's squirrel coat, another item of clothing of which you never see me without!

Kate's version of valentines day....
Well hello might have been a bit terrible at keeping up with my blog, but I promise this will NOT happen again!
Anyway moving onto the title of the blog. Me and valentines day never really mix, and to be honest not a big fan. Didn't really spread the love, which might make me sound like a grumpy old women, but I did send one to my greatest pal of mine, and she loved it. I thought the card was pretty humorous!
After my lovely night with my old flatmates the next morning I was getting ready for a week of home back into the land of nowhere. Might have got distracted with the internet and facebook as normal so packing became pushed aside with......
...THIS!
I saw my friend create her own online South Park character so i thought...it has to be done.
